On January 23, we had the pleasure of hosting 22 postgraduate students from the “Port Organization, Operation, Development, and Management” program, organized by the Department of Business Administration at the University of West Attica.
The visit was organized by Associate Professor Dimitrios Drosos, Director of the Postgraduate Program, who accompanied the students through the marina’s facilities. The Director of Alimos Marina, Mr. Vangelis Vlachos, provided an in-depth analysis of the marina’s operations and presented its future development plan. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to engage in discussions with the Deputy Head of the Mooring Department, Athanasios Koutsogiorgos, regarding the complex issues of berth management, as well as with the Head of the Operations Office, Mr. Kostas Beskos, about daily administrative support matters.
Alimos Marina holds the highest percentage of professional vessels in Greece, with 1,100 permanent berths that meet all international standards. The expertise and experience of its personnel serve as an exemplary model of high-level administrative competence and quality customer service. This visit provided students—future executives in the maritime tourism industry—with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience regarding the sector’s requirements.
