At Alimos Marina, a leading hub for yacht charter in Athens, we recently welcomed a group of international students affiliated with National Geographic, who chose the marina as the starting point of their sailing experience in Greece. Their journey was organized in collaboration with our trusted partner, Anemos Yachting.

Arriving from across the world, they experienced Athens as a gateway to the Aegean and the Athens Riviera — where sailing meets culture, exploration, and authentic Greek hospitality.

As part of their stay, we enhanced their experience with curated welcome gestures and tailored touches, ensuring a seamless and memorable departure.

At New Alimos Marina, we believe that sailing is at its best when everyone has the opportunity to experience it.

Together with the “ Alli Opsi” and “ Istion Yachting” , we welcomed the participants of the “Wheels on Board” initiative and were proud to support them as they embarked on a truly memorable sailing experience.

Marking a first for Greece, the participants boarded a sailing yacht using a specially designed access ramp, demonstrating how accessibility, collaboration and thoughtful planning can open the sea to more people.
