At the “Development of New Alimos Marina”, member of ELLAKTOR Group, we have embraced the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as an integral part of our business strategy and corporate culture, whilst to further raise awareness among our employees and endorse their adoption we run the “SDGs Coffee Break” program, in collaboration with Wise Greece.
Through these monthly Coffee Breaks, our employees have the opportunity to get inspired, familiarize themselves with and discover the ways they can contribute to each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
This month, Pinelopi, a Marina Traffic Supervisor in the Port Management Department at Alimos Marina, proudly represented our team as an SDGs Coffee Break Ambassador, focusing on SDG #14 – Life Below Water. This Goal promotes the conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas, and marine resources. Pinelopi shared her deep personal connection to the marine environment and emphasized how her daily work by the sea heightens her awareness of the importance of marine protection and sustainability. Through her role, she experiences firsthand the challenges and opportunities related to pollution reduction, public awareness, and the responsible use of marine resources.
