The annual readiness exercise for a “Man Overboard” incident, conducted on March 10, 2025, at Alimos Marina, was a resounding success, underscoring the effectiveness of the marina’s immediate response plan.
The primary objective of the exercise was to evaluate the efficiency and operational readiness of available resources, as well as the staff’s familiarity with and proficiency in emergency procedures, ensuring the highest possible level of preparedness for real-life incidents.
The drill was executed by the marina’s specially trained Fire Safety and First Aid team, with active participation from the remaining personnel and the marina’s security team, in collaboration with the company PYROGNOSI. This exercise forms part of the marina’s comprehensive annual training program on Health, Safety, and Emergency Response protocols.
The event was observed by the Manager of Alimos Marina, Mr. Vlachos.
This initiative further reinforces Alimos Marina’s commitment to ensuring the protection of life at sea and upholding maritime safety.
