Responsible Recycling & Waste Management
Alimos Marina applies responsible waste management practices and actively promotes the reduction of plastic use, aiming to protect the marine environment and ensure the sustainable operation of the marina.
Responsible Waste Management
Proper waste management is a key pillar of Alimos Marina’s environmental policy.
The active participation of all users and visitors is essential in preventing pollution and maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible port area.
Recycling
Dedicated recycling bins are available throughout the marina for:
Paper • Plastic • Glass • Aluminum
We kindly ask you to:
- Use the correct recycling bins
- Avoid disposing of non-recyclable materials in recycling containers
- Actively support proper waste separation
Recycling helps reduce environmental impact and protects the marine ecosystem.
Special & Hazardous Waste
Certain types of waste require special handling and disposal.
At Alimos Marina, designated collection points are available for:
- Batteries
- Used lubricating oils
- Bilge water
- Chemicals and other hazardous materials
Disposal of these materials in regular waste bins or into the sea is strictly prohibited.
Plastic Reduction & Responsible Consumption
Reducing plastic use is vital for protecting marine life and minimizing pollution.
Users and visitors are encouraged to:
- Avoid single-use plastics
- Use reusable bottles and food containers
- Choose products with minimal packaging
Small everyday choices can make a significant difference in reducing waste and protecting our seas.
Vessel Waste & Port Facilities
Waste generated by vessels must be managed responsibly.
- Vessel waste must be disposed of only at designated marina facilities
- Disposal of solid or liquid waste into the sea is strictly prohibited
- Users must follow the instructions of marina personnel
Proper use of port facilities safeguards the marine environment and ensures a safe experience for all.
