{"id":15129,"date":"2026-05-05T12:55:31","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T09:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alimos-marina.gr\/anaptyxi-neas-marinas-alimoy-ethelontikos-katharismos-paralias-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T13:21:32","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T10:21:32","slug":"development-of-new-alimos-marina-voluntary-beach-cleanup-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alimos-marina.gr\/en\/development-of-new-alimos-marina-voluntary-beach-cleanup-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Development of New Alimos Marina \u2013 Voluntary beach cleanup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ELLAKTOR Group and New Alimos Marina Development, as part of the Group\u2019s Corporate Social Responsibility program, \u201cWhole Living,\u201d as well as the environmental initiatives supporting the acquisition of the \u201cBlue Flag 2026,\u201d carried out a voluntary beach clean-up on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Bikini Beach in Alimos.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative was implemented in collaboration with the Municipality of Alimos and the non-profit organization We4All, with the participation of Alimos Marina employees, Group partners, volunteers from the local community, as well as young students from local educational institutions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alimos-marina.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/blue-flag-3-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-15118\" src=\"https:\/\/alimos-marina.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/blue-flag-3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"304\" height=\"149\" \/><\/a>The initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness &#8211; particularly among younger generations &#8211; and to promote the protection of coastal ecosystems from plastic pollution.<\/p>\n<p>As stated by Evangelos Vlachos, Director of New Alimos Marina Development:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProtecting the coastal environment is a shared responsibility. Raising awareness among younger generations is especially important, as participation in volunteer initiatives helps cultivate environmental consciousness from an early age. The presence of children in today\u2019s initiative gives us optimism for the future.
